Buy, Buy, Buy

I feel like C’s at a stage where I’m buying a bunch of stuff for him again.  Today, I had to buy a snowsuit (which I got a great deal on – thanks TJ Maxx!) and several 9- and 12-month pajamas (it’s only a matter of time before he’s too tall for those 6-month ones!), ordered a food processor/steamer on Amazon for making his baby food, and purchased a Halloween costume.  Okay, so I didn’t NEED to purchase a Halloween costume for him, but he’s going to be so cute in that bumble bee outfit!  :)

I’ll need to find a hat and mittens for him, as well as some shoes that I can slip on him when it’s cold out.  His feet are already too big for my favorite little shoes that I had bought him at Old Navy before he was born.  Any tips on great places to buy infant hats/mittens?

C’s growing so quickly!  The past couple of days he’s been laughing and babbling in his car seat when we’re out on errands.  We have no idea what he’s laughing about in the backseat.  He loves to squeal and laugh.  I think he enjoys hearing his voice.  It’s pretty hilarious.  The older he gets, the more fun he is!

This Fall Will Be GREAT!

Some cool, autumn-like weather has finally arrived and it is making me SO excited for fall!  It’s my favorite season and I think I’m extra excited for it this year because I spent the entirety of Fall 2010 hovering over a bucket with pregnancy-induced dry heaves.  Here’s what will be different about this year:

  • Instead of walking from my couch to the bathroom, C and I will be going for walks around campus.
  • Instead of making runs to OBGYN appointments, I’ll be running a 5k.
  • Instead of logging into my email to discover that I’m forced to quit my grad assistantship, I’ll be logging many miles on the treadmill at the gym.
  • Instead of dreaming how awesome my baby would be in order to make my misery worthwhile, I’ll be spending this fall hanging out with my amazing little boy.
  • Instead of lounging in pajama pants, I’ll be rocking some jeans and hoodies this fall (my fav!).
  • Instead of laying around watching tv all day long, we’ll be getting out and watching the leaves change colors on all the gorgeous trees around here.
The list could go on… ;)  I’m super pumped for football season and I’m also hoping to find somewhere to have a bonfire this fall!
*sigh* I love fall.
