C and Hubster went camping for the weekend (more about their adventure tomorrow), so that means I had an entire weekend ALL. TO. MYSELF.
I was pretty excited, ya’ll.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my boys more than anything in the world, but it’s always nice to have time alone.
After getting all of the cleaning out of the way for the weekend, I had a massage. (Thanks to my fabulous in-laws for that birthday present!) It was immensely relaxing. Like, I can’t even describe it. It was fantastic. Then I went to get a nonfat, no-whip, raspberry mocha frapp from Starbucks. It’s my fav.
I scrambled home to get back in time for some family to visit me. My aunts and uncles came to visit. I was able to show off our new, bigger place and then we went out to dinner. It was a great time and I’m so blessed to have such wonderful family.
On my way home, I had to stop for three different types of animals to cross the road in front of me on campus!
First, I had to stop for a little family of turkeys. Less than a half-mile later, there were a bunch of geese in the middle of the road.
When I turned onto our road, a mama deer and her two babies crossed the road in front of me!
I enjoyed some Panera soup, drank some wine and cut my coupons. The next morning, I went for a 4.2-mile run at a pace that was slightly better than my 5k pace last October! It was awesome, but I found out I need new running shoes. Blisters = ouch. **Note: If you’re squeamish, don’t scroll down to the picture of the ginormous, deep blisters I got.
I ran errands – alone, on my own timeline.
I watched a “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” marathon on tv. I read. I blogged. I ate sushi. I slept. I got a haircut.
It was a fantastic weekend by myself. :)
What are your favorite things to do when you’re alone?

A whole weekend??! So jealous
I have a day here & there to myself but an entire weekend with a massage, sleep, good TV, running… sounds amazing!
So glad that you were able to enjoy it & take time for yourself!
A day here and there is nice, too! Thanks Andrea!
