Now that we’re expecting Baby Deuce, we need to upgrade from our economy-size car to something a little more…two-carseat friendly. We’ve decided to purchase a van.
One part of me is kicking and screaming, “Noooo, not a van!!!” Then there’s the practical side of me that knows a vehicle is a huge money commitment and we don’t want to end up in this same situation two years from now if I get pregnant with #3. That is a complete what-if, so don’t go getting any ideas. ;)
My question to all of you is this: if you own a van, which one? Do you like it? Pros/cons/any thoughts are very welcome!
We’d love to go with a Sienna or an Odyssey, but they’re *so* much more expensive than the other models we’re looking at. It’s a conundrum.

When we went from 2 kids to 3 we thought the same thing and got a Chrysler van. What a mistake! After a few months it already needed new breaks and the value of the car plummeted so much so we traded it in for a Toyota Rav4 and loved it. Looking back I would go for another Toyota product that seats 7 or a Volvo that has the extra seat rear facing at the back so you can seat up to 7 without the need to get gas guzzling high maintenance van. It really was a mistake that we literally paid for for years.
Wow, what a terrible experience! I really appreciate your input!
