It has been a little quiet around here the past few weeks, hasn’t it? I took a step back for family time and embracing the quiet. Life has been busy and filled with noise. I am sure many of you have also noticed a lot of noise in the past two weeks. Maybe you stepped back a little, too, to catch your breath.
We slowly introduced C to his 4K program. He started with two sessions per week. Hubster, C’s therapy team, and I wanted a slow, smooth transition to avoid behavioral regression. It seems to have worked – C now attends four days per week, like the rest of his class! His special education team had difficulty setting goals for him, but I think we have a new one: homework. It is a battle to get him to do homework. We’re collaborating on some ideas to break tasks down for him and make it easier.
Jo is our little artist. She loves to paint, draw, color, cut paper and decorate with stickers. She continues to move on her own timeline. My little cuddle bug is filled with joy and makes us laugh regularly. In the picture above, she exclaimed, “Mommy, look at my lobster!”
Hubster’s grandma passed away last week. It was his last living grandparent, and it was sad to see her go. We take comfort knowing she is reunited with her husband and son in heaven. As we attended the funeral services and spent time with family, I was struck again by how blessed I am with such wonderful in-laws. They are loving, kind, generous, warm people. My kids are lucky to have cousins they adore. Here’s a snapshot from the kids’ visit to see trucks at their uncle’s place of work.
Friends, how are you? I hope that as the holidays approach, you are taking time to care for yourself, giving yourself grace, and enjoying moments of quiet. Much love to you and yours!
