C Has An Extensive Wardrobe!

C would like to thank all of his wonderful family and friends.  His mama went through his 9-month wardrobe today and is starting the process of washing it.  She was quite surprised by his extensive 9-month and 12-month clothing selection.  Shocked might be a more appropriate word. ;)

C just smiled and squealed, not at all surprised by the generosity of his loved ones.

Buy, Buy, Buy

I feel like C’s at a stage where I’m buying a bunch of stuff for him again.  Today, I had to buy a snowsuit (which I got a great deal on – thanks TJ Maxx!) and several 9- and 12-month pajamas (it’s only a matter of time before he’s too tall for those 6-month ones!), ordered a food processor/steamer on Amazon for making his baby food, and purchased a Halloween costume.  Okay, so I didn’t NEED to purchase a Halloween costume for him, but he’s going to be so cute in that bumble bee outfit!  :)

I’ll need to find a hat and mittens for him, as well as some shoes that I can slip on him when it’s cold out.  His feet are already too big for my favorite little shoes that I had bought him at Old Navy before he was born.  Any tips on great places to buy infant hats/mittens?

C’s growing so quickly!  The past couple of days he’s been laughing and babbling in his car seat when we’re out on errands.  We have no idea what he’s laughing about in the backseat.  He loves to squeal and laugh.  I think he enjoys hearing his voice.  It’s pretty hilarious.  The older he gets, the more fun he is!

Packing Away Baby Clothes

Earlier this week, I posted about how C has been growing like a weed.  I really thought I could still get two more weeks out of the bigger sleepers and onesies.  No such luck!

I reluctantly packed away all of C’s 3-month onesies and sleepers, along with his newborn and 0-3 month clothes.  It’s so sad to look at those adorable little outfits and fold them up one last time before putting them in a storage bin.  My little boy is getting big!

Hubster and I measured him tonight.  Who knows if they’ll take the time to stretch out his legs at the doctor’s office next week, but by our measurements C is 26 inches long!  That’s the limit of his infant carseat!  I’m glad that I brought back our convertible carseat when I visited my parents this month (they kindly store things for us when we don’t have space!).

On another note, the 6-month sleepers are SO wide on C.  It looks kind of funny.  He is such a skinny baby.  In fact, we noticed today that C has rock hard abs from all of his kicking and squirming.  I’ve never seen a baby that doesn’t have a soft, pudgy belly!  Silly kid. :)

Growing Like a Weed!

I put a 6-month onesie on C for the first time today – and the length fits perfectly!  I’ve noticed that the Carter’s onesies are made for tall and skinny babies, so they have been perfect for C.  All of the other 3-6 month onesies are SO wide on him.

C’s outfit today consists of a 6-month onesie and 0-3 month pants!  I think he’s going to be the tall, lanky kid in school. ;)

Washing C’s 3-Month Clothes

I can’t believe that I’m already taking the tags off of C’s 3-month-size clothing and preparing to wash them.  That time went so quickly!  While he has already been out of his newborn-size clothing for a couple of weeks, it is strange to me that he’ll be turning 2 months old very soon and fitting into 3-month clothes.  My little boy is growing up so quickly!

He’s so long and skinny, though, that all of these clothes are very baggy on him.  Even several of the 0-3 month sizes that he’s been wearing are quite baggy in the middle – but his arms, legs and feet are too big/long for some of them!  Silly boy.

I told Hubster that I hope we’ll have another boy someday.  It seems like these adorable clothes are only worn for a short period of time.  I want to get more use out of them ;)

Nesting?

Today, I’m trying my best to resist the urge to wash all of the baby clothes in preparation for his arrival. After all, it is February 3rd and I’m not due until April.  Hopefully I won’t have this urge too often, otherwise I might end up washing his clothes more than once in the next couple of months!

When did your nesting instincts begin?

Baby Clothes!

Last week, I had a bunch of fun ordering some baby clothes!  We had only purchased a few items for him ourselves before the baby showers, since we wanted to see what we would get from others before filling in the gaps.  It was SO much fun shopping online and looking at all the different clothes we could get for him.  My order from Old Navy arrived today and I am so excited!  These are so stinkin’ cute!!

Oh, and these shoes make me so happy.  I was dying to order his first pair of shoes and fell in love with these :)
