My Perfect Day Alone

Do you ever daydream about what you would do with a day alone at home?

Hubster gave me the chance to live out my daydream on Saturday. He realized how much he’s gone for work this month and decided to take the kids off my hands for a day. Last week, he was at a conference and as you know – it was not C’s best week. C is experiencing a setback (see here and here) and although my parents helped me out a lot, the week left me physically and emotionally exhausted. Hubster packed up the kids and headed to visit some out of town friends for the day. So what did I do with my beautiful day alone?

A Weekend of My Own!

C and Hubster went camping for the weekend (more about their adventure tomorrow), so that means I had an entire weekend ALL. TO. MYSELF.

My Vacation!

I suppose that when you’re a stay-at-home mom and your child is staying with his grandparents for the week, you can consider it a vacation right?!

Well, I guess I’m on vacation!  After visiting my parents last weekend, we decided to leave C with them for the week since I was planning on coming back next weekend.  They get time to bond with C and I get some time to myself.  It’s a win-win, really.

Had Time to Do My Hair!

I haven’t had time to do more than rub some product in my wet hair, scrunch up my curls and let them air-dry since C was born.  That’s four months.  Imagine my excitement when I saw Hubster and C sleeping in the recliner yesterday morning.  I had time to do my hair!  It wasn’t even that my hair looked fabulous when I was done, but more the fact that I was able to take the time to be ALONE and leisurely read a magazine while I did my hair.  *sigh*  It’s the simple things in life, really. ;)
