Disclosure: I received these dolls for review. The opinions below are entirely my own.
I think I hear the Sofia the First theme song 20 times per day. C likes to play it over and over again during his tube feeds. Last month during Disney Junior’s “I Am a Princess” Weekend, we introduced him to some other Disney princesses, too. We were excited for the opportunity to review these adorable Disney Princess & Me dolls, available exclusively at Target and Target.com. What an awesome time to review these with the holidays quickly approaching!
These Princess & Me dolls are 18″ tall with long, flowing hair. We received Rapunzel and Merida, which is funny because C recently watched both “Tangled” and “Brave!” I cannot WAIT until Baby Jo is old enough for us to play with these dolls together!
This is really the first time I’ve played with a doll since I was a little girl, and I have to say that I’m blown away by how beautiful these are. In my day (could I have made myself sound any older there?!), doll eyes were either painted on or the slightly creepy kind that closed when you tilted the doll. Merida and Rapunzel have vibrant, pretty eyes. Each princess wears her own signature tiara with a rhinestone, a pair of earrings and a ball gown. She comes with a little magazine, too. Super cute!
I think that any girl would love to be given one of these dolls. A Best Princess Friend! And if you know a boy who loves Disney and all of its movies and music (like C!), they’d love the Princess & Me collection, too. Dolls aren’t just for girls, yo.
If you’ve purchased a Princess & Me doll or plan to do so, please share – which doll did you choose, and what does your child think of it?
