When you’re a caregiver, life can often feel like it’s spinning out of control. Days can be overwhelming and nights can be exhausting. Our life is a roller coaster, but stress is the common thread through good days and bad. Here are 10 Bible verses for special needs families that may give you hope, strength and comfort:
“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
“May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.”
“In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.”
“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”
-2 Corinthians 4:16
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
“The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.”
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
As tough as some days may be, know that better days are to come. Lean on your support system, ask for help, and remember to take care of yourself. It’s hard to pour from an empty cup.
