Baby Jo drops everything when Mickey Mouse Clubhouse begins. She beams and says, “Mickeeeeeeeeeey Cu-ouse!” When it was on back-to-back one day, she tossed an empty snack bowl in the air and danced with joy, both hands on her face as she squealed with delight! I couldn’t wait to share a Disney Side @Home Celebration with her. We invited the kids’ cousins and family friends to join us in showing our Disney Side!
I prepared this Tie Dye cake mix, from celebrity baker Duff Goldman by Gartner Studios, the day before. The end result was delicious tie dye cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting, topped with colorful sprinkles. They looked bright and fun atop a Minnie Mouse cupcake stand!
We decided to use our Mickey Mouse cake pan for fresh fruit. The kids enjoyed sneaking berries and grapes from Mickey himself! Would you create a Mickey or Minnie cake with this pan from Wilton? It’s renewed my interest in taking a cake decorating class!
Snack pails were filled with gummy bears, fresh veggies were arranged and Mickey Mouse sandwiches adorned the table.
It was time to snack and party! Our little guests, ages 1 through 6, sang, danced, ran and laughed. I had fun just watching them play together.
Our tubie took a break to eat his Real Food Blends. We always feed him at the table like everyone else, because we want tube feeding to be as normal for his loved ones as it is for us. It’s fun to see his cousins so interested in how he eats.
Which nail color is your favorite? The kids had fun picking colors that they loved before giving each other manicures. It’s pretty adorable watching a 5-year-old paint a 3-year-old’s nails!
Smiles abound when Palace Pets are around. She said, “I don’t have this one yet!”
We were excited to give luggage tags and a Disney Parks planning DVD to our brother and sister-in-law, who are planning a Disney vacation next year! I am so excited for them. I’d love to see Baby Jo’s reaction to meeting Mickey Mouse, and can you imagine how excited C would be to see Cars Land at Disneyland? Oh my.
Where was my daughter during all this? Good question. My little wild child was catching some air while jumping on her cousin’s bed. She was rocking her Princess Sophia socks, though!
